The Top

Most of the "sound" comes from the top. It is the primary amplifier as well as the main influence of sonic character in an acoustic guitar. 

I use a slightly modified Torres bracing pattern.

Although I occasionally use cedar, Engleman and European spruce, most of my tops come from my huge stash of 20 year air-dried Canadian Sitka.
